Rebecca Simpson

Rebecca Simpson has been part of the Wicks Emmett family since 2005. She graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2004 and earned her CPA license in 2011. In December 2017, she completed her Master’s Degree in Taxation through Golden Gate University.

Rebecca focuses on estate and trust tax return preparation, as well as estate planning and research, and individual and business taxation. Her favorite part of working with estates and trusts is helping families through an otherwise very difficult time and taking some of the burden off of them. She says, “guiding the personal rep or trustee through the various tax filings and seeing the relief in their eyes when the job is complete is one of the most rewarding parts of my job”.

Outside of work, Rebecca keeps busy with her two children. Her daughter is involved in softball and her son is preparing to leave for college in the fall. They recently welcomed a new member into the family, a Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky) puppy who shares the same birthday as Rebecca! She is also a coffee enthusiast and can be found every morning (and afternoon) filling up at the office Keurig machine.
