If Shannon Bailey had her way, wellness would be at the top of everyone’s agenda. A dedicated marathon runner, Shannon is the founder and race director of the new Umpqua River Run, a half-marathon that benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Umpqua Valley. She also helped launch a comprehensive wellness program in the Wicks Emmett office. “My passion is to make our community a more wellness-aware place to live and raise a family,” she says.
Accounting was a natural career choice for the daughter of a financial planner and a bookkeeper. “It seemed like the smart thing to do,” Shannon says. A native of Roseburg, Shannon moved to Salem to get her accounting and finance degree and then returned home to be close to family. Now she and her husband are raising their own two children in Roseburg, taking full advantage of the area’s many active outdoor pursuits, especially hiking and camping.
Shannon’s career focus is on taxation services for individuals, partnerships and corporations. “I especially like helping people with IRS issues and helping them plan how to make the most of their money,” she says.
